Hey witches,
As a human with ADHD, I tend to tell stories right alongside my magical musings — so hi! I’m Avery, and today we’re talking about creating Sacred Space (or as I like to also call it: Safe Space).
A sacred space is anywhere you can just be you. No masks. No pressure. Just breath, safety, and maybe a little cackling joy.
Let’s get real for a moment: in the last five places I’ve lived, two didn’t have a safe space for me at all. Two had two. One had three. And honestly? Those spaces change with the seasons. I’ve cried in the shower. I’ve decompressed in my car. I even have a vision board — okay, it’s a piece of paper with dreams and stickers on it — taped up in front of my toilet, because… well, I see it every day. Sometimes multiple times. And that counts as manifestation.
Your sacred space might be:
- An altar with crystals, candles, herbs, and intentions, refreshed with each new moon or equinox.
- The bottom of a closet where you can hide from the chaos of the world and just breathe.
- A blanket nest on your bed, a quiet corner with a favorite cup, or a walk-in pantry no one uses but you.
It doesn’t have to be pretty. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to feel like yours.
Where can you go — even for 5 minutes — where your heart can exhale?
That, my friend, is your magic corner. Claim it.
